NaNoJouMo & Art Every Day Month Day 23
Today’s prompt is “Someday We’ll All Be Free” by Alicia Keys.
I couldn’t think of what to do today. I worked on the background but thought it was a bit dark and that when I wrote the words they would be hard to read. So I took some white acrylic paint and added a lot of water to it then went over it to tone it down a bit. It mixed with the blue watercolor background to give it a light blue hue.

The paper had some circles on it so I lightly gessoed over it so it could be slightly visible. I then traced the outline of some of the circles and then added several more of my own.

As soon as I heard the song I pictured a face with the word lies on its lips. I like how this one came out despite my handwriting not going straight.

I really don’t like how any of these came out. I tend to do these late so I’m usually tired and thinking about my bed. I’m also having a hard time finding short quotes/savings.

NaNoJouMo & Art Every Day Month Day 18
Today’s prompt is “Always” by Switchfoot.
I had a hard time coming up with something for this prompt. I stared at the blank page for a good while before deciding to just try to do something later. I eventually came back to it right before bed but still didn’t really have anything. I looked at the lyrics one last time and just decided to do a heart with the sun’s rays behind it. I hadn’t planned on dripping ink on the heart but it happened. I think it looks ok though.
