The Documented Life Project: Week 43 & 44
Week 43 – Sketch what you see right now.
I didn’t have anything in front of me that was for Halloween so I chose to draw the bucket of dice I had on my desk at the time. Everything is in Halloween colors except for the dice.
Week 44 – Incorporate real or drawn leaves.
Since this week was Halloween I decided to draw a jack o’lantern with a couple of leaves. For the eyes I used some foam eyes.

The Documented Life Project: Week 41 & 42
For all October prompts I decided to try to keep them as Halloweenish as possible. Where it wouldn’t be possible I would only use Halloween colors.
Week 41 – Polka Dots
Rather than doing just ordinary polka dots I decided to use various sized googly eyes. I like how it turned out.
Week 42 – Stars
I didn’t want to use perfect shaped stars so I just cut each star individually and without drawing them first. In some of the stars I wrote some things I did during the week.

Round Robin Journaling: Stickers & Scavenger Hunt Sneak Peek
Sticker Prompt – Fill a page with stickers.
I love stickers and am constantly buying new ones so instead of just creating one page for the prompt I created several. To create the background I used Koi watercolors and then pressed a paper towel on the pages so that it would leave behind its pattern. The circles were created using a paint tube cap dipped in acrylic paint. The smaller circles were created using punchinella as a stencil and a stamp and the lines were created using cardboard like a stamp. For each page I tried using stickers that worked together like a theme or a story. My favorite of the sticker pages is the minion one which is probably why instead of a sneak peek picture I took a picture of the entire page.
Scavenger Hunt Prompt – Find the following items, button, fortune from a cookie, a logo, something yellow and a robot.
I did this prompt like an aged treasure map. The background was created using acrylic paint and the drawings were created using acrylic paint markers and Sharpies. The items were find in various locations such as craft stores and restaurants.

The Documented Life: Week 40
Week 40 – Paint or color with three colors you never use.
I use all the colors so I decided to use colors that I don’t use often. The colors I chose were brown, peach, green and their variations. The background was supposed to be a greenish gray color but for some reason came out more like a bluish grey. Even though it wasn’t what I was going for I liked the color so I went with it.
This guy was very excited to get a bike. However for some reason the bike came unassembled and without instructions. He did his best to put it together but certain parts were not placed in their correct locations. In his excitement to ride the back he also failed to tighten the bolts and screws properly. As soon as he had completed it he went for a ride. He was so excited to be riding his new bike that he was oblivious to the fact that parts were falling off.

The Documented Life: Weeks 38 & 39
Week 38 – Draw, paint, doodle, sketch a feather onto your page. Don’t draw, paint, doodle or sketch? Incorporate a real feather onto your page!
For this one I decided to do something different. I decided to actually create a mini dream catcher. I created the circle part with a soft clay. It took 3 attempts to finally get it to work because they kept breaking when trying to run the thread through. I didn’t have a needle that would work so I had to use something else to put the thread through the holes. With the first two attempts it made the holes much larger and broke the circle. With the third attempt it went much better though it did slightly break but I was able to fix it. The dream catcher was created with book binding thread since it was the thickest I had, glass beads, painted with acrylic paint and sealed with matte varnish. I attached the dream catcher to the planner page but I might remove it and display it somewhere.
Week 39 – Add splatters and drips.
After painting the background with latex paint I used india ink to create the splatters and drips.
