    It’s About Art Journaling Swap

This week I received my returns from the It’s About Art Journaling swap.  For the swap we had to create atcs that were similar to what you would do with an art journal just on a much smaller scale.

Here are the cards I received.

Unfortunately I messed up on one of the squares.  I colored it black so I went over it with a white pen but it didn’t really cover the black so I then used a red marker which unfortunately was oil based so it reacted weirdly with the water based marker underneath.

    Textured Abstracts ATC Series

While spackling some holes that were created when a book shelf fell I came up with the idea of using the spackling when creating some atcs.  I created a total of six cards.  I had fun playing with the spackling but I didn’t have a lot of it left so once I purchase some more I will make more atcs. I’m also thinking about using spackling for the cover of my art journal.

I like how this series turned out.  My favorite is “Abstract 1”.

    Doctor Who ATC Swap

Yesterday I received my returns from the Doctor Who Swap on ATCsforAll.  The swap was to create cards based on the Doctor Who series between 2005 till now.  The cards had to be hand drawn/hand painted, mixed media or collage.

I love Doctor Who. The 10th and 11th doctors are my favorites though I’m starting to think I might love the 11th a bit more. I love the 10th‘s outspoken and eccentric personality and I love how the 11th is slightly mad and passionate. I thought the 9th doctor was ok. I might have grown to like him more if he had been around longer.  I haven’t watched any of the earlier doctors but I plan to soon.  I am looking forward to the 50th anniversary special.
