Today’s prompt is “We’re Going to be Friends” by Jack Johnson.
Well my page kinda took a creepy turn. It looks like I massacred my paper doll friends. I so didn’t think ahead when I used the Dylusion Spray Ink – Postbox Red. Well I guess they really are friends forever.

NaNoJouMo & Art Every Day Month Day 9
Today’s prompt is “Yellow” by Coldplay.
After hearing this song twice the only thing I could think of was that yellow is a bright and happy color. So I decided to make the page about being happy. I first created a background with india inks and spray inks. I liked it but didn’t know where to go from there. You can see that page below the one I completed. I then worked on another page. The shape that you see was created by using the plastic that connects three bottles of ketchup together as a stencil. I used it on the page I didn’t complete as well.

The first background I created. Below is my entry for Art Every Day Month.
I’m not sure what happened here. I had used 3 different distress inks to create a really neat background but once I was done and some time passed the color had changed completely to what you see now.

NaNoJouMo & Art Every Day Month Day 8
Today’s NaNoJouMo prompt is “1000 Years” by Sting.
When I heard the song the first thing that came to mind was the show Doctor Who. I have Doctor Who on the brain lately since I’m really looking forward to the 50th anniversary special and have been re-watching the episodes on Netflix. So the first thing to come to mind was Doctor Who; more specifically the Doctor’s and Rose’s love for each other. I planned to do a transfer of Rose on the page so it would look sort of out of focus or like a vision but it didn’t work out. It went horribly wrong. So I then decided to just try to paint Rose. Due to the transfer mess I had to make it larger than I wanted. Unfortunately it doesn’t really look like Rose. I also glued the TARDIS too high and barely had space to write. Over all though I like it; I don’t love it but I like it.

Art Every Day Month
For this month I have also decided to participate in Art Every Day Month. For this challenge you just have to do art every day. I have been doing it but was debating if I should continue as I have a lot of projects this month. I decided this week that I would do it as well.
Since I have been really into art journaling lately I decided to do this challenge in a mini art journal. The art journal I am using is 3″ x 5″ which I purchased from Ruth at Twelve Squared Creations. She makes very beautiful journals with lots of pages. I definitely recommend them. She also sells atc albums and has more goodies coming soon to her store. Below are some pictures of the journal.
For this challenge I decided to take quotes and sayings and use them in the journal. Though most of the quotes I really like are long so I have to find other quotes I like that are shorter and can fit on a page or two. Below are the pages I have created the last 7 days. After today I will be posting the pages daily with my NaNoJouMo post.

NaNoJouMo Day 7
Today’s prompt is “Lovestain” by Jose Gonzalez.
I had never heard of this song or of the musician. I believe the song is about heart break. I painted a heart on cardstock and once I cut it out I almost tore it in half. Then I sewed it back together so it would look like a mended heart. Once I glued it on the page I dripped red india ink through the tear and let it drip down. I then took the first line of the song and created the message.
