Doctor Who ATC Swap
Yesterday I received my returns from the Doctor Who Swap on ATCsforAll. The swap was to create cards based on the Doctor Who series between 2005 till now. The cards had to be hand drawn/hand painted, mixed media or collage.
I love Doctor Who. The 10th and 11th doctors are my favorites though I’m starting to think I might love the 11th a bit more. I love the 10th‘s outspoken and eccentric personality and I love how the 11th is slightly mad and passionate. I thought the 9th doctor was ok. I might have grown to like him more if he had been around longer. I haven’t watched any of the earlier doctors but I plan to soon. I am looking forward to the 50th anniversary special.

I felt better yesterday and was feeling creative so I worked on several pieces. The first two are Zentangle Inspired Art; the third is a Zendoodle and the rest are Doodles. All were done on 8 1/2 by 11 cardstock.

Art Journal Page for the Week
Not much was done this week because I have been resting. Last Thursday I went to the E.R. because I was in a lot of pain in my thigh. The pain was excruciating. I could barely walk. After ruling out a few things the doctor came to the conclusion I had pulled/strained my hamstring. He gave me some medication and sent me home. Unfortunately the medication didn’t work at all. I had to wait five days until I could see my family doctor. When I finally saw her she prescribed me two different medications; one was for the pain and the other was a muscle relaxant. Thankfully these two medications have been working and along with lots of rest they are making the pain tolerable.
I created this page expressing the pain I have been feeling. In the middle I have the medications I have been taking to control the pain. I covered the words with drywall tape as a “bandage” containing them.

Skulls of All Styles Swap
This week I received my returns from the Skulls of All Styles Swap. The swap was to create atcs with human skulls in any style like zentangles, Day of the Dead, sugar skull etc. They could only be hand drawn or hand painted.
