Art Journal Page for the Week
I like how this turned out. I had originally painted the silhouette in solid black. After gluing it on I decided I wanted to make it sparkle a bit but I didn’t like how it turned out. I had used acrylic paint before but since it was glued onto the page I didn’t want to risk ruining the background; so instead I used black watercolor which unfortunately didn’t work too well.

Diva Challenge 126: “Stencil Fun”
For this challenge we were to use a stencil as a string. I have several stencils but unfortunatly the images they would leave were too small to tangle in. Instead I used the cardboard that is left after you remove tokens from a board game. I had saved it to use in art journaling.

The stencil I used for the string. Here are the tiles I created with the stencil.

Art Journal Page for the Week
I mostly worked on backgrounds this week because I was having fun creating them. I only have 5 pages left on the art journal I started in February. I’m looking forward to completing it. It will be the first one I will complete. Once all the pages are completed I will work on the cover. Once that is completed I will probably do a slideshow of the entire journal.
I did create one page this week in another journal. I failed to dry the letters after I painted them so when doing the next letter it smeared the previous. I fixed it as best I could.

Diva Challenge 127: “DuoTangle v. VII: Cirquital/Opus”
I haven’t participated in the I am the Diva Challenges in a long while. It felt good to work on one. I might work on some past challenges later this week.
This challenge was to use Cirquital and Opus tangles. I really like how the first one came out. The second one is a bit plain.
